The Domeniile Scutelnic Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 Dry 0.75L is a powerful and expressive red wine from the Republic of Moldova, crafted from the internationally renowned Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety. Produced in limited quantities by the family-owned Domeniile Scutelnic winery, this distinctive wine combines traditional craftsmanship with modern winemaking techniques. Its structured character and carefully controlled maturation make it a remarkable expression of premium Moldovan red wine.
In the glass, the wine displays a beautiful deep ruby-red colour with dark reflections. The bouquet is rich, intense and complex, revealing aromas of black cherries, ripe plums, blackcurrants, aronia berries, black pepper and cloves. Subtle notes of roasted oak, tobacco and earthy nuances complement its expressive dark-fruit character. On the palate, Domeniile Scutelnic Cabernet Sauvignon is full-bodied and structured, with vibrant acidity, firm tannins and a pleasantly spicy finish.
A careful 15-month maturation in oak barrels gives this dry red wine additional depth, complexity and aromatic intensity. The ageing process enhances its powerful structure, combining ripe dark-fruit flavours with elegant woody and spicy notes. Produced in a limited edition of only 900 bottles, this exceptional wine was awarded a Gold Medal at the prestigious Mundus Vini international wine competition, highlighting its distinctive quality and winemaking character.
Domeniile Scutelnic Cabernet Sauvignon pairs beautifully with grilled beef steaks, tomahawk steaks, roasted lamb, game dishes, slow-cooked spicy meats and mature hard cheeses.
