Cricova’s Rară Neagră is a true expression of the southern Moldovan terroir. Made from carefully selected grapes from the Valul lui Traian region and matured in new French oak barrels, this dry red wine stands out through its fruity intensity, moderate astringency, and refined structure.
Aroma and Taste:
The bouquet reveals rich notes of blackberries, dried plums, vanilla, and tobacco leaves. On the palate, it is strong, yet smooth, with supple and velvety tannins.
Food Pairing Suggestions:
Perfect with grilled red meats, rabbit sausages, kidney, or game dishes. Serve at 15–18 °C for best enjoyment.
